I hear most everyone rave about Byron's book & video, which I also love & adhear to. I would speculate that all would consider him one of the greatest shooters of all time. I know that I do.

My question then, would be, why don't I see or hear about people shooting his longbows?

I own one of his longbows... I can't shoot it well though, cuz I ordered it a bit overbowed for me.  I'm buying an RER recurve soon hopefully, and will hold on to the longbow though... pretty cool seeing the words "handmade for Tim Radke by Byron Ferguson" on the limb.  Hopefully my kids will think the same thing someday (little girl on the way!)

I got a forkie with it, so it has drawn blood.  Not real fair for it to not be returning to the woods on a regular basis, but overbowed is overbowed!

I'll post a few pics if I can get them soon.

because bear is selling his bows and Bryon isn't the one building them maybe?   You might contact them, his son Zak is building bows now, similar to Byrons however with a different name.   Great people to chat with....someday I hope to have the privelage of meeting them.

TimRadke, It may be possible to have someone take some draw wt. off of that bow for you. I have done it to many myself. Maybe Bowdoc or someone like that could.
Be well, shoot well,
