Hunting shows
« on: January 11, 2008, 12:30:00 AM »
Are there ever any Hunting Shows within driving distance of the Kansas City area. There is one this weekend in KC, but a friend of mine was there today and said it was not much of a hunting show, mainly boats and outfitters. Back in NC every March the "Dixie Deer Classic" is held. This is the mother of all hunting shows. Hundreds of boths with all types of hunter supplies and outfitters. There is also a big buck contest that usually has hundred of heads. I wish there was something similar around here.

ricky, there is a deer show in Chillicothe, Mo, on Feb 9 and 10, and the Mo Deer Classic in Columbia, the first weekend of March!!! The one in Chilli was originally started and run by the High School Conservation Class! I would assume they still get a bit of the take, hopefully!!! There will be measurers at both events, as well as seminars/speakers! Shoot me a PM if you need more info!!! I'll be at both!
Official Measurer for Boone and Crockett, Pope and Young, Compton's, Longhunters, and both Mo books.  Have tape, will travel!!!

Who's Tred Barta?

The all Canada show is coming to MO soon.  Check it out.  Check out Burntwood Lodge for great bear hunting and fishing.
