I really like this setup!

I like this bow/arrow set up so much I thought I would pass it along. Maybe someone would like to try a similar one.

I am shooting a 60lb @ 28" Robertson Perigrine recurve. 28 3/4" Easton Axis 400 arrows with 100gr brass insert, 75gr steel broadhead adaptor and a 125gr Grizzley Broadhead. Total arrow weight is 590gr, FOC is 25%.

Arrows shoot like darts and penetrate great. I only hunt whitetails and this set-up works super for that. My self imposed max range is 20 yards and most are a lot closer.

I had been using the same arrow and bow but without the steel adapter and with Wenzel Woodsmans, Zwickeys, or Magnus heads. This set-up also worked very well, and you could not ask for more from the broadheads, no complaints, but I think the above mentioned set-up, to me, is just a tad better, for now anyway, trying new things is half the fun.

Not trying to preach or sell anything, just passing along some info. We are lucky to have so many good products to choose from these days.
 Keep it fun! Slik

Is the 75 gr steel broadhead adaptor full length?  I have 125 gr steel adaptors and they're full length, but have the taper full of steel.  I suspect the 75 gr ones are hollow in the taper.

Thanks for sharing.

That is almost identical to the arrow set up I use with my 56# Ancient Spirt Thunderhawk.  I agree that the grizzly works a tad better than the other mentioned heads (note that my three blade experience is with Snuffers and not Woodsmans).  I do not plan on making any changes in the future.
