Well this morning was exciting,I finally got my first trad deer.I was setup in my Lucky tent blind hunting near some apple trees and about 8:30 a nice doe and button buck came by feeding in my direction. Once they were about 10yds away I waited for the doe to give me a quartering away shot. I drew back my new Thunderstick MOAB longbow, carbon arrow tipped with a 150gr.Wensel Woodsman broadhead. The arrow hit her in front of the right hip and angled foward and hit the liver and 1 lung. Then the rain started so I decided to give her some time. I went back about 5 hours later with family, and started searching. There was no blood trail due to the rain,We found the doe about 100yds.away. I just wanted to say thanks to all who have gave me advice on Tradgang.A special thanks to Ron Forster who helped me setup my bow.I have pictures but cant figure out how to post them. I could e-mail them to someone if they could post them for me.Thanks again.
