Hadn't heard that one              Hard to believe they would let that one get by in editing/production - the fact that they saw nothing wrong with it even then is sad....

Road-kill antlers don't bother me too much - I saw a decent little buck on the side of the road one morning and when I stopped on the way home from work, his headgear was gone - the body was bloated and useless, but I wanted the antlers for rattling - someone else just beat me to it.
So Deputy Dog taking the head doesn't bother me - saying its the biggest one he's ever "taken" is a bit odd, and the fact that he left the carcass is pretty surprising (not a thing wrong with road killed venison if its fresh - kind of a shame to let it go to waste)
But killing deer ONLY for the mount is a sad commentary on the current state of hunting   "[dntthnk]"    "[dntthnk]"    "[dntthnk]"
The beaten path is for beaten men.
