BC Outfitters Sellout??
« on: November 23, 2006, 02:19:00 PM »
Did I read it right that Leonard Ellis of BC Outfitters soldout to a non-hunting environmental group. The artical I read says It may end hunting in the area, and from what I have seen of the land scape it would be a big loss for hunters.

Anyone know more about this.

Man I loved that guy, what happened.

We can only hope that the Canadian Government officials don't fold under and grant them a waiver.

Fellows that happened last year and the rights are leased out to the highest bidder. The government doesn't care if it is ever actually hunted at this point so long as they get their cash. Hopefully some changes will come about up north.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could somehow raise enough money to buy it back and turn it back over to the hunting community. A far out idea I know, but just a thought.

The issues involved with a hunter group buying it are many. To many different goals on our side while their side has only one, stopping us from hunting. The good thing about this is it eats up a good chunk of the anti's budget that can nolonger be used for other activities.

You are right Vermon.

What happens when the Bear population goes up, ow wait that dosnt happen on the "happy animal farm" all animals just live and love each other. Like most things, we will have to see what happens.
