Tennessee College Offers Wild Turkey Class for Women
« on: March 01, 2007, 09:56:00 PM »
Northeast State Community College is offering an opportunity for women, ages 14 and older, to learn about wild turkeys through a non-credit class being offered during the month of March, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).

The class will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in room # 226 in the Library on March 12, 14, 19, and 21, 2007. The cost for the class will only be $25 (personal check or cash). Payment and registration will be done during the first class period.

A wide range of topics will be covered during the class, including: the history of wild turkeys, wild turkey biology, restoration, turkey hunting techniques, equipment, calls and call collecting and hunting safety.

Speakers will include biologists from the TWRA and experts in the field of wild turkey hunting and calling.

In order to have ample materials for the class participants, the College is requesting women who plan to attend to pre-register by contacting Angela Huddle 423-354-2508 or email [email protected]. Reserve a seat now, space is limited.

If you are a female, age 14 or older, who has wondered what all the excitement is about with wild turkeys, this is the class for you. Remember to bring a friend.

Northeast State Community College is located at 2425 Hwy. 75, Blountville, Tennessee.
