The Hunters Voice

Tradgangers;

A local USDA Forest Service recreation area has shortened its bowhunting season 12 days.  This change was made with no public input, no explanation and no scientific reasons for the change.
As TN bowhunters this decision and the way it was made has alarmed us a little.
We have put together an on-line petition to gather signatures to let the USDA Forest Service know that their actions and decisions are not made in a vacuum and that we as citizens and users of the public land would like a voice in their decision making process.

The Tennessee Traditional Archery Society (TTAS) would like you to join us in signing the petition.  The petition can be found at the link below.

 www.ttas.us

Thank you.  United we stand…

I'm not from TN now but probably will be some day.  Are you looking for TN residents only or would you like the rest of us to sign as well?

Hey Gingivitiskahn,

We are looking for all hunters/bowhunters in the USA.  The USDA Forest Service is USA wide and the TTAS thinks other states should join in.  Plus many out-of-state hunters hunt in Land Between the Lakes. The recreation area that this involves.

I thought LBL was in Kentucky? Shows how much I know.

Ive signed it, we MUST all unite together to stop this before it starts going all over the US with the same things happening in other states. I believe the good ol' USA is in peril enough
I dont know about you guys but I feel threatened our heritage and values could be out the door if the nominations in Nov go the wrong way

Thanks for taking interest guys.  I think some support from throughout the country may help on this one.  At least let the USDA Forest Service at Land Between the Lakes (and perhaps other USDA Forest Service managers) know that what they do is noticed by the US citizen.

Ray, LBL is almost split in half by the TN-KY state line.

I for one will probably never hunt in this area, but I am really getting weary of hearing about Government sticking it to the people of this land.

I signed it.
You get to keep what you kill.  If it were easy there would be no value in it.

Did they ever give a reason? Could be something to it we just don't know about. I fish in Cross Creeks in Dover, TN and they close half of that place if they hear a bald eagle is in the county.
