HUNTING BANNED
« on: August 04, 2013, 03:40:00 PM »
That's right, the word "hunting" is on the hit list to be banned by New York's D.O.E. from appearing in standardized test and public school text books. It's been said that this word along with about 50 others will disappear in the future due to the "sensitivity of the culturally diverse student body". Now if the whacks that espouse these ideas think the word is bad it sure makes one wonder what they might do with hunting itself if given the chance. I know hunting has been under fire for a long time but lately it just seems like so many special interest groups seem to gain ground. One day I would like to take my Grandsons on a bow hunt and I don't want some yuppy that aint never killed a deer or any other critter to get in my way. In the mid 70's when I started bow hunting "KILLING" was the norm but now we must "HARVEST" to be P.C. The changes we see are subtle and when they go against the "Gang" I get all bent out of shape. Thanks for all yall do to keep bow hunting alive and listening to this ole coot vent. Aim small,Possum

Unless pretty much EVERYTHING that is going on in this country CHANGES back to what we used to have, this type of garbage is going to become the norm.

I'll bet a few other of the 50 banned words, based upon the rapid degradation of our society include: discipline, values, morals, work, American, Christian, husband, wife, .... you get my drift.

We need a link and where to voice concerns on this legislation. Folks need to act on it not just talk.

Good heads up.

The use of the word GUN is frowned upon in elementary schools up here in the Soviet State of NY.  Some schools don't allow the word gun to be spoken.  It is now referred to as the "G word".

Wow Ron, that is pretty scary! Ignorance only increases the danger of a thing. To mistify guns will only make children more interested in handling them; and less likely to get a responsible adult when doing so since those "responsible adults" are making them sound "bad".

Are the kids supposed to go look for Easter eggs now instead of hunting for Easter eggs?

I'm afraid it already HAS become the norm...As an example, shortly after I started working for the Dept. of Corrections, they spent a TON of money changing ALL of the paperwork to say "Offender" instead of "Inmate".    To avoid demeaning or hurting the feelings of the convicted murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc.

Just another example of ignorant politicians coming up with whatever they can to try to justify their 6 figure salaries.

I guess their idea of diversity does not include those who "take game". All societies and ethnic groups have depended on using animals for food, so this should be a squeamish concept for anybody. But whatever the P.C. police seem to dictate some members of society HUNT. We KILL animals, and we EAT them. Maybe it is time for some us to tell the elitist ruling class to get a running start and kiss our collective a$$. Perhaps it is time to actively resist and protest their unmitigated stupidity. Excuse my rant, but I am tired of putting up with "their" crap. Some may call me a Neanderthal, which is quite all right - I wish I had the wilderness skills of those guys!

Hunting is a God given right! When the Lord gives something no-one and I mean no-one has the right to revoke that right! As our society moves further away from God, we see more and more of this movement to do away with anything that makes sense! We have too many people making decisions for everyone else who have been educated beyond their intelligence and think that they know what's best! It's sad but the further away from God someone goes the more they lose their God given sense of right and wrong.

I guess its time to discontinue History as a subject.

I cant imagine how the settlers ate or how they will teach about wars????

Sad state of affairs this state is in.
Relax,
