Hard to beat the Savannah,in that price range,I think.

The Savannah for that $ looks like a good buy to me.
The one I shot was really smooth. The finish on that bow looks high dollar.

My favorite longbow was a 21st Century Venus model 2006 all Osage bow . It was  the smoothest shooting longbow I ever shot. It was also one of the least expensive. It was very plain, just osage color, but beautiful.

It shot and felt alot better than their top of the line bow, the supernova with carbon limbs,  as well as other longbows that cost over twice as much.

It wasn't fancy, but my bow sure shot great.It was smoth and fast.
 Of course I started shooting t/d recurves because it was easier to travel with them, so I sold it.

 
Just as a note:
It was an original Jim and Buddy bow, I  haven't seen or used any of the Callaway bows.
