BC Bear Hunt Anyone?
« on: January 17, 2008, 01:45:00 PM »
I've posted this up at a couple of other sites.

Well I'm booked with an awesome outfitter for the week of May 18 thru May 24, 08 in BC. The hunt area is about 12 hours from Seattle. The outfitter says he still has a couple of openings for the week I'll be there.

I have no vested interest with the outfitter.I take my money from the US Government. Just thought I'd offer up some free transportation if there was some interest.

I don't want to go into all the details here, but if anyone is interested in talking about tagging along they can email me at [email protected].

This is spot & stalk for really nice sized color phase bears. I'll be rolling out of Virginia in the ole deisel pickup and the plan is to stop in Montana for a day of trout fishing before heading thru Idaho, Washington and on into BC so a pickup could be arranged.

Dig up one of those mason jars of cash you got buried in the back yard and come along!

Yep,

Less you drivin a VW Wabbit Diesel gonna be much cheaper to fly? Now if you like a drivin and just want to see the country no better way to do it. I drive from Ont to Texas every year, 32hrs but your journey going to make mine look easy.

That's the plan-see some of the country. I know it would be much cheaper to fly, but I've never been west of central Wyoming so.....

Anyhow, I figured someone a little closer to that side may want to tag along, or as far as that goes, there's always the airport.

Camp is in the Caroboo-Chilcotin area, near 150 Mile House.

you should have a good hunt . there is a huge bear pop. here. To get with in bow range of a bear is a huge rush.

Yeah I couldn't be any more pumped at this point. I've spent a good bit of time on the phone/email with these folks and they're about as nice as they could be.

The outfitter is a bowhunter himself, and is aware I'll be hunting with either a boo backed yew or osage bow, so I'm gonna have to get up close and personal.

Take lots of skitter dope, the bugs can get real ferocious up there.

And, have a great hunt 'Billy!

I spot n stalked bear hunted in BC last May. Bugs were no problem in May.  Good luck hunting. The country will make you speechless. I found out why they call it Beautiful BC.

Sounds like a great hunt. If not for a trip to Colorado in Sept. Me and longbowben would be foolish enough to go with you. Good luck!

You would have been more than welcome in camp. I've had a few inquiries the past couple of days. A small get together in BC would be great!
