Spine for 31" woodies

My son is switching from aluminum to woodies. He is shooting a longbow cut to about center. His draw weight is 50# @ 30" with his arrows cut to 30 1/2 or 31" . I checked the archives, but I couldn't find anything to help. Would some of you who shoot about that same set-up please give me some help?

Not really enough info. what longbow is ghe shooting, is it mild or hard R/D or is it a hill style. Than we can get ya close. If hard R/D than 65-70# at least depending on point weight. Shawn

I have a Turkey Creek pulling 50 @ 30. I am shooting some 60-65 with 145 grain tips. If you are gonna use heavier tips I would go to 65-70. I am right on the verge of being weak, gonna drop the points to 125.

I agree. 65-70 at a minimum. My draw length is shorter, but I always overspine by 10# or more. Works for me on both centershot and non-centershot bows. By the way, 65-70 is not overspined at a 30-inch draw. It's about right on. 70#-80# would be overspining.
