Cavalier tab question
«
on:
January 19, 2008, 10:14:00 PM »
Just got one of these for my birthday. Does anyone know what the heck that shelf is for on it (at the top of the tab) and does anyone actually leave it on?
I installed it when I got my tab and shot (badly) a few arrows but it really seemed to mess with my anchor. After removing the shelf things seem more like normal.
Anyway - if you guys have anything to say about it, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance! :-)

I believe th eshelf thingy you refer to is for FITA shooters or Olympic style shooters where they anchor down by there chin. I have not shot one but I am shooting an Angle Tab and they are very similar. Shawn

I took mine off as well. It hurt my cheek, the Angle has a index finger retainer and I like it. It allows for the same grp on the string each time. Shawn

I think Shawns right ...I took mine off and I recently lost mine and had to order a new one and it came with the hootis for eliminating finger pinch but I took it off too. Found my other one a few days later watching my Brittany...she had it buried I knew but didnt know where..sure enough she went back to check on it and I dug it up..AGAIN...this wasnt her first rodeo and Ive since learned to keep it out of her reach

Yep, Shawn is right. It is for an under the chin anchor and can easily be removed.

Like many before me have said, this place rules. Where else could I ask such a weirdly esoteric question as that and have an accurate answer two minutes later?
:-D
