New stickshooter knives
« on: January 19, 2008, 08:06:00 PM »
Talk about a perfect ending to a perfect day. Shortly after returning home from an afternoon rabbit hunt with my wife and Huck, the mail man deliverred my much anticipated knife set made for me by Sticshooter.

        http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/561428243yoNXvk

The smallest knife (2" blade/5.25" overall), is a replacement for a knife which fell out of a knife/armguard combo that I had purchased last fall (That knife was lost after just three hunts. A BIG disappointment to me at the time because I had voiced reservations about the clasp on the armguard before I made the purchase).

The medium size knife (3.25" blade/7" overall) fits into a sheath on the side of my possibles bag.

The largest knife (5.25" blade/10" overall) will be the focal point of a not yet made back quiver. Because a couple of my bows are made of osage (lams), the wood in the handles of all three knives is osage and will compliment those bows. Below I have posted a few pictures of the three knives standing alone, and also in their respective sheaths.

And in their respective sheaths...

:clapper:        For anyone contemplating treating yourself to a custom knife, Sticshooters knives are as nice in hand as they appear on his website and in various threads on this website.        :clapper:

Labs4me, You need to re-post your pictures no larger that 600 pixels.  Go to the top of Pow Wow and click on:

POSTING PICTURES at Trad Gang...AND Avatars

That should help you re-size those great pictures of Frank's knives.  Thanks...tippit

Yep. I'm hoping to find a leathersmith who will make me a back quiver using the big knife as a focal point.

Thanks Sticshooter. Your knives are top shelf!
