Where do you buy "handle pins"?

I go to the hardware store and buy 1/8" brass rod.
If you want nickel silver or mosaic pins or fancy screws (chicago or whatever) try Jantz Supply or Texas Knife

Yep, same for me. I use 8mm, 6mm & 4mm brass rod, 4mm aluminium or 6mm stainless. All from the hardware store.

I like to leave some of my forging/hammer marks on my blades.  I also like steel pins to match my blades so I use 4, 6, and 8 finishing nail for my pins.  I know they will have a tendency to rust over stainlees steel finishing nails but so will my blades if on cared for.  Anyway if they do rust just re-grind or polish...Doc

Yep Doc hit the nail on the head!  :knothead:  I use nails from crates at work. Remember resurrected blades. I also use SS pins from work when I scrap valves. As for rust I have a few knives I made and no rust. A knife is a tool and who does not take care of there tools?<><

Thanks for steering me in the right direction!  I was thinking about using finishing nails, but I like the brass look, and I don't have any brass nails.  1/8" rod sounds good to me!!!  I'll see what I can do.
