Finished a knife for fund raiser
« on: March 04, 2008, 06:19:00 AM »
I finished this knife yesterday and thought try posting pics.  It is a saw mill blade, ebony and antler handle.  It will be donated to our local Pheasants Forever banquet fundraiser.  I still can't figure out how to post pics.  Could anyone walk me through it?

Thank you all for the kind words.  Farm Boy -I laminated the wood to the antler and then the complete scales to the tang with epoxy and hidden pins.  I have never gotten very good at peening the pins and getting them to smooth right when left exposed.  I just drill part way into the scale material and all the way through the knife tang.  It adds the some of the strength of a pinned handle without the skill needed to sand them smooth.
