Openings to hunt with Curtis
« on: March 16, 2008, 08:49:00 PM »
Guys,
We have a stituation. As some of you know, I and some other knife guys are supposed to go hog/javalina trad hunting with Curtis Kellar this week. Unfortunately some had to drop out. This leaves a couple of openings.

The hunt is from noon of the 21st through noon of the 24th of March. Yes, That's this week!

If a couple or three of you guys dont mind sharing camp with a couple of middle aged fuddys, holler at me and I'll hook you up with Curtis and we can see if we can stick a piggie.

If I didn't have to go to SC and the PBS Banquet, I'd be booking my flight right now!  Hogs, Littlefeather, and my-o-my the knife making tips to be had on this hunt   ;)   Sounds like Fields of Dreams...Doc

Lin,

If Texas was just 20hrs closer I'd be there for sure. Would love to hunt with you guys at some point. Maybe next year I can drag Karl south with me and we'll all do it. When we start planning for next year I'll check knife show dates with you guys first. As you can see alot of our knife making guys would sure love to share camp with you guys.

Dave,
We would love to make this an annual event. Please do see if you can get Karl to break away and come too.
As it turns out Jerry Fisk and my son, Greg, had to cancel for good reasons. But for next season, we'll be better prepared. Curtis has been very understanding towards us and we'll try to make it up to him. Cant say enough good about him.

Rob, We'll try to give some advanced notice next time. Would look forward to sharing the fire with you guys. Thanks.

OK - pick me up next year, Dave.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

I can see it now - we'll be down at the Blade Show but we'll be talkin' bow hunting!
