Bear Knife set! What year?
« on: April 01, 2008, 07:18:00 PM »
Could someone help me out with the year this could have been manufactured? It's a Western Knife made in Boulder Colo, part of Bear hunting knife set. It has 640 stamped on one side at the base of the blade. The sharpening stone that came with it is a Norton. Thanks!

Image Deleted! I will try to resize it later tonight. I'm on dial up and it takes forever to load a photo

whatever you do don't sell it, brother. Thats one of the original sets..quite a find. Someone will come along and tell you the year pretty quick, and make you an offer for it I'm sure!!!

I bought one around 1965, and I remember them around that time period.

If you resize and then repost, you may need to hit refresh when you open the post. The web browser only checks to see if the links are the same, not the pics. Clicking refresh forces it to reload and then it loads up the resized picture instead of showing the too big one it has in it's cache from previous viewing.
