A little light on the "subject"...Finished with pics

I have been working a couple of blades here and there for the last week or so. This one was a challenge for a new knapper like myself, but I was amazed at the difference some light made. Obsidian is such cool stuff. Enjoy.

Jamie you should consider doing one up for the St. Jude's Auction. That is fine work there.
I have some elk antler left from the one I did for last year's auction if you'd like to do a handle with that.

Yep, Chola does look good but IMHO there is nuthin like a nice antler hanlde with some character to it for a stone blade. Thats some fine work there Jamie!!

Very nice knapping, ishi.
I have always liked stone/obsidian with a wood that matches the highlights in the stone.
In that, a red/brown wood that goes with the flash of color in the rock? Whew! that would look great.
