Quenching ??
« on: April 19, 2008, 08:07:00 AM »
Hey guys,

I'm new to making knives.  I've been working on some saw blade knives.  On a thread on hear someone mentioned quenching.  Could someone explain what that is and tell me if I need to do it for blades made out of modern day saw blades.

Thanks,

Tom

When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.
