Where Do I start?

Stumbled upon this foreum, never  really went in here. Glad I did now.. I would like to try to make a knife myself, where do I start? There is another thread on where this gentleman bought what it looks to be a already shaped knive, but is missing the handle, mabey that a good place.. any advise WELCOMED. thank you

Welcome aboard the addiction train! My suggestion is Read, Read and when your done reading read some more. Oh yeah don't be afraid to ask questions either. Start at the last page and read as much as you can. Just about anything you might ask has pretty much been answered.
There is an abundance of knowledge on here. Everyone is very helpful. I'll make the suggestion that I was first told. Pick up a copy of Wayne Goddards $50 knife shop. It covers just about everything you need to know. Good luck Skippy.
