Buck Special Ideas
« on: June 14, 2008, 11:10:00 PM »
I have one that I've had for a long time. I've never really used it all that much, as it doesn't really fill a nice for me. Too big for delicate work, to small for killing lions  ;)  . Looking at it the other day, I thought I might be able to make a servicable pig sticking knife out of it, but I really don't like the handle. Has anybody ever torn one of these things apart? What can I expect once I get inside it? Any suggestions for handle materials?
I've done so much with so little for so long that now I can do anything with nothing in no time at all...

Arco,

You could by a blade blank to you liking and keep the Buck knife like it is. Then you can make a handle to your liking on the blank. I think you could buy a blank for less than the value of your Buck.

This is only my opinion
