Knife From Jeremy !
« on: July 23, 2008, 06:40:00 PM »
Well I had to wait a little for Jeremy's knife to get here from the knife swap but HOLY COW was it worth the wait! Just like Christmas morning. What a true craftsman. I couldn't be happier with this one! Thanks a million Jeremy!

I'm glad it got there!  Thanks for being so patient, these last two months ain't been easy.

1095 blade, hidden tang, clay coated and etched to show the hamon, cocobolo 'guard' backed by bird's eye.  The overall style is a bit different than what I normally do, but that little knife is about perfect for an everyday carry for me, so I'll be making some more.  (He** of a lot quicker fitting a wood guard than a brass one  :D )  The handle has some curves when viewed from above too... curves are sexy  :readit:    ;)

I decided it was time to try a robtattoo-style cross draw sheath.  Again, different than I normally do a crossdraw, but it works real nice and is good for a righty or lefty.

Frank,
Assuming I keep getting a little more shop time now I have a whole mess of knives to make for friends, so you'll be getting one - as long as Shell lets you keep it!  Guess I'll have to make her one as well  ;)
Come to think of it, everyone that's posted on this thread so far is on my list!
