saw this item on Craigs List in IL and though of all you metal workers... not sure about moderator view of this type of listing, but its not the unmentionable auction site.

Shaun, Being that this is a very sought after item for many here, I would think this post is fine.  Additionally if you want to pick it up and come to bear camp next year, I'd be happy to drive the rest of the way once you drop it off  :bigsmyl:  tippit

wish I had 3200 bucks....but then again, I found a place that offers plans for a press you can build for 100 dollars, and using Harbor Freight equipment and steel from around the junkyard..and a 200 dollar air compressor will operate it.

I think I am going that route for now.

Ray please let me know of this place! I am looking for power hammer  or a hydraulic press but dont really know witch one would be better for blade work? can you or anyone explain to me the pros and cons of either of them? please

A power hammer is just that....it strikes blows. In my opinion only, that would be the way to go if you can do it....me-I'm going cheap the first time and building the hydraulic press..It takes longer to do the work with the press...but the initial investment is considerably less.

you can do a search on YouTube for hydraulic press and it will come up...guy named TToler did it.

I'll find the plans location and post that later.
