Anyone Ever Do A Fixed Blade from KnifeKits??
« on: December 23, 2008, 02:15:00 AM »
Hey all,

I have checked out the fixed blade "kits" they have and some of them look pretty nice.  Of course all of you that post pics of your beautiful handcrafted knives would never need to use one of their "kits."  I am wondering what you all think about trying one of them to "get your feet wet" in the knife making art.

What do you think?

I make my knives from premade blanks. I saw a write up in Blade magazine about knifeKits and they seemed to be well made and thought out. Never know until you try! Go for it and good luck!

Here is the first one I made from a premade blank.
I made the mosaic pins myself but you can buy those too. One of my kids was doing dad a favor and sharpened my knife for me one time, that's why the blade is scratched up. Kids, got to love em.

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.
