I think I have #1 or #2 lol.  I love mine. I switched from shooting a 68" long bow to the 54" Helms Deep with no problems at all.  It draws 54#@29" with no finger pinch. I'll see if I can dig up a pic or two of it...

The real problem is that I have two of Greg's bows now   :knothead:     :bigsmyl:

Go to Gregg's website (Java Man Archery) and you can look at some great pictures of the Helms Deep.

By the way, I named that bow. One of my few claims to fame.

id imagine the bow is a sweet shooter. its the same bow as the La Claire lil favorite recurve.  Doesnt Greg make the bows for ron? seems like the cascade/checkmate thing where you can buy a checkmate for a couple hundred less than a cascade yet they are the same bow?? the lil fav sells for 700 and the helms deep for 600. looks to be a nice bow

LOTR was the theme when I came up with this bow.

Pics?

Here's my Helms Deep.  With the bow bolt, I just slip the ends in my hunting boots to protect it in my duffel bag.  Been to Texas/Solana Ranch and going back to TX Sweat in a few weeks.  Great travel bow.  Thanks Gregg...Doc
