Just where is it I could find bear, beaver, and other critters worth cash money when skinned?

Ride due west as the sun sets. Turn left at the Rocky Mountains.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

I've been looking for a copy of The Mountain Men that'll play on UK DVD players for years  :(  It's only available in the US though.

Fun Fact; I bet you didn't know that at least 2 Trad Gang members I know of were extras in the film. Vance Brewer & Charlie Lamb!  :D  (At least I'm 99.9% sure it was The Mountain Men)

Truly a classic film suitable for entertainment as well as education.  Another favorite: The Mountain Men  Charleston Heston, Brian Keith

hi Rob

I learned a trick for aging the brass tacks, from Chuck Burrows.
Get a metal pan, fill it with enough salt to cover the tack head, when you place them in upside down.Put all your tacks in the salt. Now take your little propane torch and heat the shafts if the tacks.

The affordable tacks here have steel shafts so this method anneals them and has the benefit of aging the heads. I am not sure if it would work on 100% brass tacks.

Knife and sheath look great!

You turn down this gift, and they'll slit you, me, bowdoc and the horses from crotch to eyeball with a sharp robtattoo blade

You've come far pilgrim.    :notworthy:    :clapper:

Ain't this somethin'? I told my pap and mam I was going to be a mountain man; acted like they was gut-shot. "Make your life go here, son. Here's where the people is. Them mountains is for Indians and wild men." "Mother Gue", I says "the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world," and by God, I was right. Keep your nose in the wind and your eye along the skyline.

Love those bolsters Rob. Thanks for sharing. That's got to be one of my top picks for movies. Got some laughs from the movie lines.  Lin
