Anybody have and shoot or shot a Root Gamemaster recurve? I think Shakespear made this bow also? The sight is striped with different woods. Been wanting one for a few years... ever since I seen one in TBM.Thanks<><

Yes they are a very good shooting bow.To me they shoot just as good as any of my custom bows. The Gamemasters all belonged to my dad, that is all he would shoot.I have them now and still hunt with them now and then.

I still have three Roots: my dad's 68" 35# Pendulus Supreme, my great uncle's 55" 45# Brush-Master, and my grandfather's 62" 45# Game-Master.
When I got back into traditional archery I shot the Game-Master for two seasons and then retired it. The bow shoots great, but I'm paranoid about damaging it. More sentimental value than anything I suppose.
I see Game-Masters come up on eBay every once in a while.

Here is my wifes ROOT - RAVER or ROVER 62" 45# @ 28". I always thought this bow shot well, but always wondered what kind of woood was used in its construction. Bought the thing used and have no clue how old it is.
Maybe someone here can inlighten me!
