Great Evening
« on: January 24, 2008, 07:57:00 PM »
Well it is getting down to the end of the season here with only 6 days left in the deer season and after shooting my new bow off and on all day I decided that I was ready to try shootin something with it.

So about 3:00 this afternoon I gathered up my new bow and all two of my arrows and screwed on some broadheads. I went to the woods and set up my blind and started waiting. About 4:45 here came my deer a big fat doe and she had my name written all over her. Well she came right in front of me and after several minutes she finally offered the broadside I had been waiting on. She didnt have a clue I was around. I drew, anchored, and released the perfect arrow and had to watch her stand perfectly still while my arrow flew right under her brisket and stuck in a tree.

Oh well it sure was fun and I had a great time and cant wait till next time maybe tomorrow will be the day. This traditional hunting is getting addictive and I have only been doing it for two weeks.  :bigsmyl:

Sorry that you missed but you still got out, still got them in close and had a ball doing it.  Good clean entertainment.
A bad day of hunting is still far better than a good day at work.
