They are certainly healthy looking.
A bad day of hunting is still far better than a good day at work.

Behind the house the last few nights just before dark. A few nights ago, under the light of the full moon, I lost count around thirty. Hopefully, half or more are carrying doubles.

Brad the season is all done here. And the antlers have dropped. I have some pics. of some bucks with little bald spots on top of their heads. I could post more pics. but I am in western Washington working and on my Dads computer. So I will have more when I get back to Idaho.

Here are a few pics I took last week of some deer behind my office.  The pics aren't great because they are through the window (glass). There were 3 more does with these.  We're in a dual zoned area commercial/residential and there are about 5 acres next to us that are undeveloped where the deer live, the property has been up for sale for a while.  This is by far the best buck I've seen there.  I think I saw more deer at work this year than while hunting!

Hickstick,

Pretty simple to see this many deer on a regular basis. Just have developers destroy virtually all the neighboring wildlife habitat within a couple sections and it sort of forces the deer to congregate on what's left. All the new developments in my area have cutsie, keep-up-with-the-jones' names like, "Partridge Creek", "Pheasant Run", "Sycamore Hills", and my favorite, "Hunter's Ridge".

Sadly, I've always said that if you placed the word Formerly in front of all the development names, it would be a more representative description.

El Caz,

Any chance you might grant me and Hickstick permission to hunt behind your office next season?

LOL, as soon as I get the okay I'll let you know!  The bosss'es wife and the ladies in my office aren't making it easy!

I would love to think that these deer would continue to live and thrive on this property, but I know as soon as it's sold developers will move in and the deer will be moved out.  The sad thing is that besides about an acre adjoining our property the deer will have no where else to go.   :(
