Its been a while since I posted anything here. I have been doing a lot of utility and tactical knives.

Here is a small bowie blade field knife.

Blade is about 6.25"
OAL is 11 3/8""
Forged from 1/4" thick 1084
handle is spalted maple
nickel guard and pin G10/nickel spacers

This knife took forever. The first incarnation had an inclusion in the blade. The next version when it was finally done, I ground into the epoxy in the handle, so I just kept going to remove that handle. Finally found the right piece of wood, and here we are!

Now if I can get the sheath done and get it out the door I will be happy as a clam! Then it is time for me to go elk hunting!!!!!

thanks guys, the more I look at this one the less I want to send it to it's owner.  Guess I will have to try to make a better one for me to keep! There is something about the bowie blade shape that I just love. To me it says "knife" more than any other shape.

Nothing to copy Steve, It's just a lil' bowie style mixed with a hunter. Go for it. Post pics when you are done!
