Traditional Bowyers Encyclopedia
« on: January 25, 2008, 06:59:00 PM »
Hello all,
I was curious is anyone has both versions of Dan Bertalan's book? I noticed the 2nd edition is "Revised and Updated" but was curious if the changes were significant. Any opinions would be welcome.
thanks,
 Tom.

I'm not sure about any revisions but the update consists of nine pages at the end of the book filled with one-paragraph updates on most of the bowyers he visited in the late eighties.

Among those are a number of "the company is now a division of," "Nothing stays the same," "moved on to other things," and "stopped making longbows" entries.

There are quite a few "still making custom bows full-time" and "still located ... and still crafting bows" with updated contact information.

I noticed my volume one is missing many pages inthe center-how can I get in touch with someone to rectify?
