callimus blade blanks
« on: March 02, 2010, 08:41:00 AM »
Has anyone heard of these blades?  A friend of my dads got 8 of these blade blanks for cheap at a gun shop.  Does anyone have info on these blades?  What kind of steel etc.  Any info will be greatly valued.  Thanks.

The old Camillus company went out of business in 2007 and closed it's New York factory so they might be unfinished knives from the factory.  Somebody bought the name in 2009 and started making Camillus knives again.
All the combat and survival knives I ever saw in the armory or got issued when I was in the Marines were made by Camillus.

Thanks wampus, When I tried to grind one of the blades it made great sparks but some of the other blades made no sparks at all?
