So after finally finishing my knife to match my recurve I needed to make a sheath for it.
Knowing I had basically made a rib breaker with a fixed knife with a sharp grip, and the fact that I hate vertical hang fixed blades it was easy to decide to make a horizontal carry sheath.
I got the tooling leather from Big Jim's Bow company when I ordered a new set of arrows and spent a month or so occasionally chewing on the shapes and such.
Here she is. Natural veg-tanned 8-9ozs tooling leather dyed with black liquid rit dye, sewn with black artificial senew.
I learned a lot and am going to start dad's here in a day or so. I won't screw his up and cut it backwards so he can carry his on his right side...
