New Mid Weight Hawks from the Forge
« on: June 09, 2010, 10:48:00 PM »
Here are four recently finished tomahawks that are mid weight field hawks.  They are light enough to carry and heavy enough to make a good camp hawk.

The first hawk is a hammer poll Fransisca with a sapelle bubinga handle.  The second hawk has a claro walnut handle.  The third hawk is a frontier style hammer poll with a waterfall maple handle and the last hawk is a hammer poll Fransisca with a curly maple handle and a torch tempered finish.

WOW     once again!!!!  Those are AWESOME, this time I am really digging #4.
What would you attempt to do, if you knew you could not fail?

That one is the lightest of the bunch and would make a great carry hawk.  I have four very similar hawks being carried in the belts of some Marines I know.  She is light, fast, and perfectly balanced.

They're all nice.  #4 looks real nice, but I like #1 the best.  That little space between the back of the head and handle looks like it would help in hooking it on a belt or strap.
#3 looks like a real workhorse.
Did I mention I love hawks?.....  :clapper:    :clapper:  good work.
