Has anyone ever seen one of the knife/hawk sheath combo that the guy that is squatting over has on?

Thanks,
Boswell

Boswell,
From the way he is carrying them, I would say they are not specifically a set, but that he is just carrying them both in his belt. Also by the differing leather work. BUT, all that dont matter so much to me. I like them too. The period they are reinacting is my favorite time period.

One of the fine makers here on the site can probably make you a set, but I also recommend checking with Ron LaClair and see what he has. Lately he has shown us some reproductions of cutting tools from this period and they look great and the pricing is very reasonable. Lin

2nd Lin's response.  One of the many great knife crafters here - or two that you like could certainly put together a sweet Knife/Hawk combo with nice leather for you.  If you want it quicker I also recomend LaClair's stuff.  I went to school with his blacksmith's son and know Mr. Mateo - his work is top notch and probably in stock and ready to ship.

I agree, I think the knife is on the belt and the hawk is stuck in the belt.

Off topic: the guy in the black hat looks like he's holding a flashlight or something like that...have Rondezvous changed that much since I stopped going?  :)

Definately seperate sheaths.  Different leather and seperated to much to be integral sheaths.  Looks like both are good leather work.

Lots of good custom makers on here and Ron usually has stuff in stock.  I have never heard anything but postive comments about his hawks and knives.
