Anyone know history or usage on these knives?

It's a Finnish Puukko knife and is 10 3/4" overall with a 5 1/2" blade made of a sturdy steel not flexible like a fillet knife with two blood grooves. It had the remnants of the Finnish Lion decal on the stacked wood handle. It was given to me along with a couple of bayonets and a No4, Mk1 Enfield rifle. Looking for any history or usage of these knives.

Yea!  Good post!  The knife is a beauty for sure, I love the aged petina.  And that sheath is very interesting too.

I was used ax a all around knife, for anything from gutting to splitting kindling. It is similar to a Seax which is a viking knife that heavy like an axe. Great find would love to to have one for my collection, if you ever get rid of it let me know.

I had one like that years ago. It was stolen out of my car back in the 60's. I remember it being an easy knife to get a razor edge on. It had a leather tassel on the top of the sheath. It looks like there's the remnants of something like that on your sheath.

Here's a picture of me in 1955, the year I started bow hunting for deer with the knife on my belt. That's a 1953 Mercury in the picture.
