Black lip pearl scales

I have some I want to use on a folder. Not thick enough so I'll have to put some liner material on them. Anyone ever worked with it before? Any issues? Shaping? Sealing?
Thanks in advance for any info!

Skullworks, Be carefull with the dust when grinding. The dust is quite toxic. I usually put a drop of super glue on the under side when drilling pin holes. Black lip is a very attractive handle material. Good Luck Knifemaker
