Redwood Recurve Hunter
« on: April 12, 2011, 05:52:00 PM »
Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, but I just haven't been making hunting knives lately...

But I finally got to this one... 9" OAL, 4 1/4" blade, Aldo 1084 with working/brushed finish (hard to see as the blade is over-exposed.. I'm not used to shiny metal!), guard from wrought iron chain left with most of the original surface texture and cold blued.  Stabilized redwood burl handle.  If I ever get a chance to make myself a hunter, this one will be it.

Scott, I think that is my favorite pattern of yours!  Really nice work, I like all the forge finish and guard too.  The Redwood burl is very nice.

BTW, got my B-jig!

Really nice....  :bigsmyl:
