I knocked this 'un together, yesterday.
2-3/4" Sandvik 12C27 steel blade
Cocobolo burr bolster with black spacer
4-1/2" Roe deer tine
OAL 8"
I'm debating whether t clip off the last 2" of the tine & put on a flat wood end-cap.
Whaddaya think?

I like the one you built, Rob but the other idea has merit as well...and would be pretty cool with a lanyard hole in brass through it.
If I did it, I might use another pc of that cocobola and put a thin black spacer on either end as well, and cap it with brass?
Its cool like it is, though, bladesmith.

Cheers Ray.
Honestly, the more I look at it, the more I'm tempted to cut it & cap it. As you say, a brass lanyard tube'd look nice in there too.
Right. To the Workcave....

I think it is really cool the way it is with the point. Every other knife has a blunted end, maybe put a strip of cocobolo between the point towards the end and put a brass tube towards the point. I really like it like that, u definately know what it is made of like it is.
