Knife makers-who can fix a broken lockback?

My dad gave me his main hunting knife years ago and I've used it for decades too. It's one of the old high end Browning lockbacks from the early 1970's.

They're great, made in the USA knives.

They remind me of the best German made Puma's.

But finally, after almost 40 years, the lockback won't catch.

Of the knife guys here, can anyone fix that? If so, can they clean up the wood and brass?

I contacted Browning and they basically said that they don't make them like that anymore and they don't have anyone they could even recommend to work on it.

For more info, it's the Browning Sportsman Knife model 4018f.
There's one on **** now for $230.00.
Not bad re-sale value for a beat up 40 year old knife. That's how nice these were.
Plus it was my dad's and it's engraved with his initials on one side and 1973 on the other.
