This hunter profile is based on a Persian fighting knife in terms of general shape. It is W2 with hamon. The wood is black oak burl and the linen bolster wrap is basically 'stabilized' with heavy epoxy. The spine is radiused with clay application and has almost an effect of chatoyance from the hamon there. An idea inspired by a Mr. Karl Andersen of Illinois. He posts here sometimes.
It is deeply hollow ground in order to maintain forged flats without sacrificing edge aggression.
