Need A Blade Shortened

I have a knife that a guy made for me a long time ago.  The blade is just about an inch and a half to 2 inches too long.  I'd like to have it shortened if possible.  Anyone on here willing to do it for me.  I personally wouldn't know where to begin or have the resources to go about it.  thanks
