Anyone interested in some really good information on hamons, go to:
http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/index.php?/topic/429-hamons-topic-for-november-2011/page__pid__2629__st__0entry2629
In particular, if you're using W-2, an ABS Mastersmith pretty much lists his step by step process from the end of forging through heat treat and polishing. Also lists a good source for Parks 50 at just over $100.00 for a 5 gallon bucket after shipping. Just thought some might be interested.
