Looking for a Knife Blank- Who makes them?
« on: December 08, 2011, 04:32:00 PM »
I am looking for a rat tail knife blank. I posted in the knife/pack wanted add but got nothing. Anyone here make them and would be willing to trade or sell one?? thanks.

I got my hands on a nice piece of polished mammoth tusk for the handle, just need a blade and maybe a guard. thanks.

ragweedforge.com,   Jantz knife supply,  do a search for nordic knife blanks on google.    You will most likely want a ferrule to cover the mammoth.  Has it been stabilized?  If not, then could be prone to cracks and splitting.  Before you use this, would suggest buying a water buffalo horn and practicing on something cheaper.

Take a look at the blanks we have on the website.  We probably have something you will want.

I will order at least one helle blank, they look like a great start, and I will practice before using the mammoth.

I was hoping to find a 'higher grade" blank if possible.  thanks for the info.
