Which wheel size for grinder?

I want to get the small wheel attachement for a grinder. Which diameter wheel do you most use to grind the curves in a guard/handle?

I have one, but dont use it much and when I do, it's not for that. A lot of folks use it for that, but I dont know what size they use. If I was going to do it I would start with 1/2 inch. But again, I just never got started using it for that procedure.

Thanks Lin. I went back and looked at your hidden tang post at the top of the forum and saw you used your 2" contact wheel. Is this how you generally shape the finger guard area on both the back of the metal guard and on your sub hilts?
