"but I didn't make it"
« on: January 04, 2012, 01:27:00 PM »
I recently drew a pattern for a Wharncliff sheath knife. I then sent it to a friend to have him grind it, and had him send it back so I could put the scales on. He didn't want to put his stamp/logo on the blade because he didn't make the whole thing. Would it be frowned upon for him to stamp his name on a knife such as this?

He would have no idea how the knife was going to turn out. How it is finished will reflect upon HIM, if his name was on it.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.
