Spearpoint Survivor/hunter
« on: February 09, 2012, 09:56:00 PM »
This is a knife I just finished up for a customer, he wanted a do all survival/hunter style knife, this is what we came up with.
The blade is 5.5" of .214" 5160, the handle is black and natural canvas micarta. OAL is 10".
What do you think?

Very nice Ben.  Looks like I'm going to have to get one of your knives.

Are those copper spacers?
cheers, Dale

That looks like a workhorse.  I really like it!  :)

That is very nicely done.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Looks great! I love the contrast with the canvas liners and black micarta scales!

Thanks guys!
Stik Man, this one is shipped already, but i did some testing on one of my bushcrafters recently.
Jute twine, 11oz leather, seasoned vine maple, and one of those pesky Canadian pennies!

Good deal. I think testing should be promoted. I have much more confidence in each one I make as a result. Good for you man.
