2 wee little skinners
« on: March 03, 2012, 02:29:00 PM »
Here are 2 I just finished up, they will both be going with me to the OKCA show in April.
The first one has osage handles, stainless pins and an antiqued blade. The handles are actually a bright yellow, but was hard to capture.
The second one has super curly Bastogne walnut handles, and stainless pins again, with some modest scallop file work.
I took both handle 1000 grit for super smooth finish.
Both are about 5 1/2" long with 2 1/2" blades of L6.
The last pic better shows the real color.

Really a nice group of knives!  I like the way you finish them!  That Osage is great looking material!

Those look very, very handy!
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Those are some sweet little tools there. You should have a very nice display at the upcoming show. Looking forward to getting some more blades made.

Awesome looking knives.  They seem like they'd be very handy, too.
