New Lockback
« on: May 11, 2012, 04:10:00 PM »
I started a new folder last fall to replace my EDC as the blade is getting pretty small after three seasons. I might get another season outta the old one but this new one will be waiting.

The blade is O1 and the scales are Red Shank.
Blade is 3 1/2" and hollow ground.

1st picture is before pinning and the final grind.

Thanks Doug and Kevin, that means a bunch coming from you guys. I'm gonna try one of those liner locks someday. I've gotta get a bunch better tools and some coaching first.

Thanks Lin, pretty fun to build my own gear. Nowhere near the level of what you guys turn out but does the job for me.

The guy that gave me that red shank told me he had another sack of it for me     can't wait to get it.
It seems to be just a hair harder than iron wood but stands the pinning good so far.
